THRIVING ON PLANTS SUPPORT GROUP

Thriving on Plants is an informal support group of people who are eating a Whole Foods plant based diet or for those who want to learn about this lifestyle which provides maximum benefits for health. Bob Spahle leads discussions and demonstrates techniques for preparing and cooking healthy plant foods and providing samples of the delicious food he prepares. Recipes are shared.

Education topics include eating for weight loss, how to gain control of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and many other lifestyle diseases. Other diets are also discussed. Videos by leading experts in these fields are shown with discussions

Our instructor, Bob Spahle, also lost 80lbs and kept it off and was able to get off two medications. 


  • The third Friday of each month will be our regular Pantry Cooking class, which will be held in the church's Fellowship Hall. 

Dining with Diabetes: February 17th, March 17th, April 21st. and May 19th

Mediterranean Cooking: June 16th, July 21st, August 18th, September 15th. 

Canning Class:  October 16th -- Pressure Canning Class & November 17th -- Jams and Jellies

 So, lots of delicious recipes to explore.
